Perfectly tender, juicy black pepper steak, stir fried with veggies. This is a quick delicious meal that goes perfectly with a bowl of rice.
Ingredients
- 260 g beef
- black pepper
- ½ tsp corn starch
- 100 g red bell pepper
- 100 g onion
- 50 g red cabbage
- 100 g mushroom
- green onion green part
- 3-4 tbsp seasoning sauce
- ⅔ – 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- ½ tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Starch water
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 3 tbsp water
Seasoning sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp minced onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
Instructions
- Chop all the vegetables into bite size.
- Cut beef into bite size as well.
- Add black pepper, more or less to your taste, 1/2 tsp starch water, and seasoning sauce. Let it sit to marinate.
- Sauté the vegetables with salt and pepper in a pan starting with the hardest ones like onions and bell pepper.
- Once the vegetables are sautéed, remove from the pan and set aside.
- Cook the beef on the same pan used for vegetables. Add a lot of black pepper to enhance the spicy taste. When the meat is cooked half way through, add oyster sauce and cooked vegetables.
- Thicken the dish by adding starch water.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and enjoy!
