You probably all know that ginger is so good for you. I love ginger pickle I get when I order sushi. But it’s often known that store bought ones aren’t as good for you because they add bunch of ‘unhealthy’ things. So why not make it at home? It’s so easy that you won’t ever be able to go back to the store bought ones.
Ginger Pickle & Ginger Wine
Ingredients
- Ginger pickle
- 400g Ginger
- 1/2 cup Water
- 2/3 cup Vinegar
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Salt
- 100g Ginger
- 400ml Rice wine
Instructions
- Thinly slice the ginger
- Blanch the thinly sliced ginger in boiling water for about 1 min.
- Remove the ginger from hot water. Sprinkle some salt and spread it out to let it cool.
- In a pot, add water, vinegar, sugar, and salt over medium heat. The mixture doesn’t have to be boiling, just let the sugar melt.
- Once the vinegar mixture cools, add it to the jar with ginger.
- Let it sit for 3 days and enjoy!
