Turkey Chili (stove top & slower cooker version)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb ground turkey
- 1 red onion finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 14.5 oz diced tomato
- 1 15 oz kidney beans rinsed and drained
- 1 15 oz black beans rinsed and drained
- 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- Shredded cheddar garnish (optional)
- Sour cream garnish (optional)
Instructions
Stove Top version
- Cook the onion, bell pepper, and turkey in a large pot. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, chicken broth, and all the spices. Cook on medium high heat for half an hours.
- Garnish with cheese and sour cream.
Slower Cooker version
- Cook the onion, bell pepper, and turkey in a large skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the cooked meat to slow cooker. Add tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, chicken broth, and all the spices. Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
- Garnish with cheese and sour cream.
